This hotel is a wonderful base for a xmas in Almada. the staff are amicable and approachable, and the owner too. - the setting is favorable, just next door to the Cristo Rei and the harbor, the ferry and Lisbon with a car. - It's right next to Restaurante Nova Europa, where you can eat something.

During my Christmas stay, I really enjoyed the convenience of having a fully equipped kitchen in the guesthouse. It allowed me to prepare my own meals and saved me some money. the location of the guesthouse was perfect. It was close enough to Lisbon center, and I could easily reach it by tram and ferry. the surrounding town of Almada was interesting to explore and offered a quick bus ride to the ocean.
the shared bathroom situation was a bit inconvenient, as there was only one bathroom for multiple rooms. there was a small ant infestation in the kitchen, which could have been addressed.

the family who runs the place is incredibly kind and goes above and beyond to help their guests. the rooms were impeccably tidy and the beds were cozy, making for a comfortable stay. I loved that it felt more like a hotel than a hostel, adding an extra level of comfort. the location is also great, with the Cristo Rei and the harbor nearby. the ferry ride to the city center was affordable at 1.25 one way.
I would gladly book again without hesitation. Cons: Nothing that I didn't like.

I had an amazing stay at a family-owned guesthouse in Almada. The owners were warm and welcoming, treating me like part of their family. They even invited me to join them for a lovely Christmas dinner. The guesthouse was clean, peaceful, and cozy, providing the perfect escape from the Christmas madness. Great value for money and conveniently located near Lisbon center. Highly recommended!
Everything great.

Stayed at a "charming" guest house that had everything a posh lady like me needed - a shared lounge, free parking, a garden, and a terrace. Such luxury!
Oh, how I loved hearing the planes from the "nearest" airport constantly buzzing overhead. Delightful!

We loved staying at Margarida Guest House. the kitchen was well-equipped, allowing us to cook our own meals. the hospitality and quick communication from the hosts were exceptional. the house was clean, warm, and comfortable. Isabella, the host, even took us on a mini tour of the area and showed us how to use public transportation. it was a great accommodation at a decent price in a friendly city. We highly recommend Margarida Guest House. Cons: Can't think of anything! 😊.

We had a fantastic stay at this guest house. The location is convenient, with easy access to Lisbon center via tram and ferry. The hotel facilities were clean and well-maintained. The rooms were comfortable with AC, and the common areas like the bathroom and kitchen were cleaned daily. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing us with information about public transportation and even giving us a mini tour of the city. We also appreciated the option to rent out the whole guest house for privacy. we had a great experience and would recommend this place.
